People tend to divide objects and phenomena into ones they like and the ones they dislike. It is quite natural since tastes differ. It concerns every aspect of our life: preferences in food, clothes, music, literature, etc. As for me, I strongly believe that the best writer for me does not exist. This does not mean I do not like any writer at all. The problem is that I suppose that the writers should not be divided into the best writers and the worse writers.

Every person is an individual. Everyone has his/her certain characteristics and abilities. We cannot say that one person has better abilities than the other one. They are just DIFFERENT. That is the issue! People should not say that this guy is cleverer than that one, this girl is cuter than that one. People should not compare each other, as every person is exclusive and individual.

Passing over to the best writer, I should admit that I really appreciate Classicism in the world literature. But I cannot name any writer who would be the best one. Their works are all interesting and involving for reading, but I cannot say, for instance, that O. Balzac is the best writer of Classicism. The same thing can be said about Pierre Corneille, as well as it can be said about the representatives of modernism in the world literature. They cannot be comparable, as they just different.

In conclusion, I would say, that the literature is not the only aspect where people should not divide something into the best and the worst. Everything is different in our life. So, why not to take everything the way it is?
